US Ambassador to Armenia Meets with AGBU SoCal Leadership

As part of her visit to the Armenian-American Diaspora communities, US Ambassador to Armenia, Marie L. Yovanovitch, accompanied by her Executive Assistant Susan Christy and Public Private Alliance Specialist at USAID Armenia, Jeffrey Paretchan, made stops in Philadelphia, Detroit, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
On October 11, the Ambassador met with leaders of the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) in Glendale.

Buenos Aires Women’s Committee Visits Armenia

 

The Committee with His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos and Supreme Patriarch of All-Armenians

 

On September 23, 2010, members of the AGBU Buenos Aires Women’s Committee traveled to Armenia to spend nearly two weeks visiting their homeland. The group visited Dilijan, Erebuni Museum, Garni, Geghard, Haghartsin, Khor Virap, Noravank, Oshakan, Sardarapat, Sevan, St. Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral, Tsaghkadzor, Tsitsernakabert, and Yerablur. They also took a trip to the second largest city in Armenia, Gyumri. Continue reading

AGBU President Berge Setrakian on Armenia’s H1 TV, Sun & Mon

We are pleased to announce that the Armenian television program, “On the Ways of Diaspora”, on the Armenia’s H1 Channel will broadcast a show dedicated to presidential visits with Armenian President Serge Sargsyan at the following dates and times:

  • Sunday, 10 Oct at 10:05 AM Yerevan time on H1 Satellite Channel
  • Monday, 11 Oct at 00:50 AM Yerevan time on H1 Satellite Channel

The program also features commentary by AGBU President Berge Setrakian, who was the only diasporan interviewed for this show.
