Armenian Ambassador Visits Toronto’s Alice Zaroukian School

On Monday, September 26, the AGBU Daniel and Alice Zaroukian School was honored with two very special visitors — His Excellency Armen Yeganian, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia in Canada, accompanied by his wife, Maria Yeganian, and Hon. Robert Avetisyan, the official representative of the Republic of Karabakh.

Also accompanying them were Rev. Archpriest Father Zareh Zargarian, Berge Papazian, secretary of the Central Board of AGBU as well as AGBU Toronto board members. The students greeted the visitors with bread and salt, sang songs and recited poems.

Canadian Exhibition Celebrates 500th Anniversary of Armenian Printing

On the occasion of the 500th anniversary of Armenian printing, both Montreal and Toronto will be hosting Armenian book exhibitions in October to mark the occasion.

The event, titled “Armenian Book Exhibition on the Occasion of the 500th Anniversary of the Armenian Printing 1512 – 2012″ will take place at the following locations:
