Nurturing Youth, An Emerging Artist Appreciates AGBU’s Contribution

Vartouhi Zerdelian-Pinkston, Pomegranates (2007), hand colored etching 3 1/16 x 5 5/8 in.

We love to hear about the positive impact of AGBU on young talent, so when we received this note from proud parents Bedros and Virginia Zerdelian we were happy to pass it along to AGBU members and friends:

You and your members are invited to enjoy the new art of etching by Vartouhi Zerdelian-Pinkston….AGBU has been mentioned [in her biography] as an Armenian organization that had awarded and encouraged this artist from a very young age.

In fact, the artist mentions in her biography that she won her first art contest at the age of five as the winner of the Armenian General Benevolent Union’s Art Award.

Congratulations Vartouhi and we’re very happy that AGBU could offer you some of the encouragement you needed to realize your dreams of becoming an artist.

Here is the event info, for those interested in attending the event at Adelphi University in Garden City, NY:

My husband and I recently met Vartouhi. I am interested in how to purchase Ms. Pinkston’s books and or how to get in contact with her. Thanks! Patricia Whittaker
