Commencement Exercises at AGBU Vatche and Tamar Manoukian High School

The commencement exercises at AGBU Vatche and Tamar Manoukian High School took place at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 19, 2010. In attendance was Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese, accompanied by Deacon Sarkis Alanjian.

Dr. Talin Kargodorian, the school’s vice principal, gave welcoming remarks. Greetings were delivered by Artoun Hamalian, director of AGBU education department. The day’s message was transmitted by Los Angeles Supreme Court Judge Zaven Sinanian, followed by the granting of diplomas. Closing remarks were made by Sinan Sinanian, chairman of the school board and member of the AGBU Central Board of Directors.

Archbishop Derderian gave his blessing and ended the event with the benediction.

A reception followed in Boyajian Hall [of AGBU Pasadena Center], organized by the Parent-Teachers Association.

Commencement Exercises at AGBU Manoogian-Demirdjian School

The commencement exercises at AGBU Manoogian-Demirdjian School in Canoga Park took place at 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 19, 2010. Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese, was present, along with Deacon Sarkis Alanjian.

The opening speech was delivered by Vice Principal Anahid Nalbandian-Pzhshgian.

Archbishop Derderian congratulated the graduates, administration, staff, parent-teachers organization and parents, wish them success. He expressed the hope that the graduates will obtain higher degrees and awards, all the while demonstrating strong Armenian spirit, patriotism, faith, and diligence. He gave his blessings and prayed for their health and long life. Diplomas were subsequently handed out.

A reception, organized by the Parent-Teachers organization, followed.
